Minnesota-based online LGBT high school opens

0

A first of its kind online LGBT high school opened last week. Based in Minnesota, but open to students nationwide, it was founded by David Glick who was Minnesota first online education coordinator with the Minnesota Department of Education. The Star Tribune has the story.

“The vast majority of GLBT youths still feel discriminated against and don’t get the support they need,” Glick told the Strib. “I don’t consider this to be segregation, separation or isolation. I consider this to be helping them find a community that is supportive of them.”
