Fargo-Moorhead Pride has evolved into a full week of events over the last 15 years. Bowling, a film screening, a block party, a parade, a flag raising, a dance party, a worship service, a run and walk, and youth events are all planned for the second week of August.

Pride week kicks off on Sunday, August 9 at 6pm with a meet and greet for event volunteers and a celebratory flag raising along Broadway in Fargo.

On Tuesday, August 11 at 7pm, there will be a showing of Gay Best Friend at the Fargo Theatre. The film is being shown as a preview to the Fargo-Moorhead LGBT Film Festival. The screening is free of charge.

Pride Bowling Night will be held on Thursday, August 13 at All Star Bowl in Moorhead beginning at 6pm. The event is $5 for all night bowling.

Also on Thursday, Rhombus Guys pizzeria in Fargo will host LGBTQ Trivia and Karaoke with host Kelly Coxsyn. This all ages event runs from 9 to midnight and has no cover, but donations are accepted at the door.

Youth Pride will be held on Friday at Studio 222 on Broadway in Fargo. Hosted by Sasha Maria, the event doors open at 8pm and will feature several performers including Miss Kitty, Mia Star, Oliver Longtime, Alison Wunderlust and Taylor Sandhofner. Those under 21 pay $5 at the door, those 21 and over pay $10.

Starting on Friday at 9pm, the official Fargo-Moorhead Pride Dance Party kicks off at the Aquarium in Downtown Fargo. The 21 and up event will feature DJ Kelly Morris from Fargo and DJ Nicholas Joyride Goodroad from Portland, OR, and drag performances by Kelly Coxsyn and boylesque performance from Apollo Dioni. Cover is $10

The Fargo-Moorhead Pride 5k Run and Walk begins at 10am on Saturday at Woodlawn Park in Moorhead. Day of registration is $45. All finishers get a T-shirt and a Pride medal.

Fargo-Moorhead Pride in the Park is at Island Park beginning at 10am on Saturday and running until 4pm. The event will host booths from local businesses, artists, nonprofit organizations, and other groups.

Sounds Sacred worship service begins at 12pm on Saturday at the Fargo Theatre. “Sounds Sacred (to me) is a service that uses poetry, art and live music to explore a sacred theme,” event organizers note. It welcomes all people, both believers and nonbelievers. The Fargo-Moorhead Pride Parade and Rally kicks off at 2pm at the north end of Broadway and ends at the Civic Center lawn where the rally will take place.

Nina DiAngelo, Bebe Zahara Benet, Roxy Marquis, and Asia O’hara will headline the Fargo-Moorhead Pride Block Party on Saturday. Doors for the event at Usher’s House in Moorhead open at 6pm with DJ Nicholas Joyride Goodroad. The event is 21 and up, and $15 at the door.
