Macalester College is one of the 20 most LGBT-friendly in the nation, according to a list released by the Princeton Review. The list is based on surveys of 136,000 students.

Macalester secured the 14th spot on the list. Carleton College slipped off the list after placing in 2014 and 2013. Carleton College ranked 11th and Macalester College 15th in 2014’s survey, and they ranked 15th and 17th in 2013.

Wisconsin’s UW-Madison, and Iowa’s Grinnell College also made the top 20 at 10th and 18th. The survey also ranked the top 20 most LGBT-unfriendly schools. None of Minnesota’s colleges made that list.

Vocativ unearthed an interesting wrinkle in the rankings: “Gay-friendly colleges admit students with higher SAT scores than schools that are the least tolerant of gay people, according to the Princeton Review survey of the best schools.”
