Each June, East-Central Minnesota Pride has been creating a safe space for the LGBT community from Rush City to Mora to Braham to Hinckley with a festival at Voyageurs Park in Pine City. This year’s celebration on June 7 will be the event’s 11th and the theme will be “Transforming Hearts and Minds.”

The event will feature live music and entertainment from the Calliope Women’s Chorus, Neighberz Band, Hedwig from “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” and Deejay Geo Montecillo

In addition to live music, there will be vendors, a picnic, and an alpaca for the kids to pet.

The event is free with a suggested donation of $10 for those that are partaking in the food line.

For the first time, Pride has a banner flying over downtown promoting the event.
