PFund, a philanthropic organization for LGBT communities in the Upper Midwest, has announced the hiring of the Rev. Dr. Rebecca Voelkel as interim executive director.

PFund, which is based in Minneapolis, provides grant to LGBT-supportive efforts and scholarships to LGBT students, announced earlier this year that co-directors Susan Raffo and Katie Eubank were stepping down.

Voelkel comes to PFund by way of her experiences as Faith Work Director for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, as Executive Director of the Institute for Welcoming Resources and Interim Executive Director for the United Church of Christ Coalition for LGBT Concerns, as pastor of Spirit of the Lakes United Church of Christ, and as Program Staff for the Center for the Prevention of Sexual and Domestic Violence.
