Two Greater Minnesota communities will be hosting LGBT Pride events this weekend. Picnics are planned for Marshall and Thief River Falls.

On Saturday, June 21, Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) Thief River Falls will host a family picnic to celebrate Pride and the success of the foundling organization.

“June is LGBT Pride month and we decided to celebrate Pride and the formation of PFLAG Thief River Falls,” said PFLAG Thief River Falls president, David Stocum, in a statement.

The picnic will be from 3-6pm. Those interested in attending can email [email protected] for location details.

Marshall will also be hosting a Pride picnic at at Independence Park on East Lyon St on Sunday, June 22. Those interested in attending should contact 507-532-3680 for more information.

Already, Pride celebrations have occurred in Pine City and Brainerd.
