The Safe and Supportive Minnesota Schools Act will get its first committee hearing of the year on Tuesday.

The bill has been the target of religious right and Tea Party groups largely because of protections for LGBT students. The bill was pulled from the Finance Committee last week, and moved to the Education committee. Here are the details:
